The community offers 100s of acres of parks and open space including lakes for boating and fishing, residents clubs, hiking trails, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, and is home to a championship golf course.The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the association's facilities and amenities that will play a crucial role in executing our company's purpose statement: We build community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live and, in the offices, where they work. Simply put, we create experiences that connect people.What you'll accomplish:Oversees the building maintenance of association-owned propertiesInspects facility routinely, establishes and implements a facilities preventative maintenance schedule/calendar and maintains records of planned serviceBuilds key relationships with vendors and contractors while directing and evaluating their workMaintains updated facility records and creates reportsOversees the set-up of rooms and amenitiesPrepares annual department budget and monitors departmental performance against adopted budgetEnsures signage, lighting, gate closures and safety equipment are in working order including cleaning and structural maintenanceOversee seasonal and natural weather situations providing oversight and written documentation to assure a completed process and safe access for our communityProvides light carpentry, plumbing services, and electronic and computer updates to association equipmentWhat we're looking for:Strong communication skills, both written and verbalA minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities managementAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, staff, residents, volunteers, and contractorsExtensive knowledge of grounds maintenanceStrong supervisory skills to manage the work of employees, contractors, and vendorsAbility to work evenings and weekends as necessaryStrong computers skills with Microsoft OfficeSkills in carpentry, HVAC, electric, plumbing, and other building tradesExperience working for a community association, country club or parks and recreation in a similar positionMust be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, particularly high heat, and to walk long distances to perform physical inspectionsMust be able to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform other physical laborA valid driver's license and vehicle insuranceMust pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background checkThe physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.Driving : Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions.
