Facility Maintenance TechnicianMetalsa is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician with advanced HVAC expertise to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of facility systems to ensure uninterrupted production and a safe working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and environmental controlsDiagnose issues and complete repair and/or replacement of HVAC components, equipment, and related systemsTroubleshoot, repair, and/or replace electrical systems, lighting, pumps, boilers, and general facility infrastructureSupport building automation systems (BAS), fire alarms, emergency lighting, security systems, and backup power systemsComplete general facility maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, and facility upkeepDiagnose equipment failures, document maintenance activities, and recommend improvements to reduce downtimeFollow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policiesParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and support facility efficiency initiativesRequired QualificationsMaster HVAC license (or state-recognized equivalent), in good standingExperience in industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial facility maintenance preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentationExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamCommitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanshipBenefits401(k) with company matchingHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planTuition reimbursementEmployee discount programReferral programRelocation assistance (if applicable)Work LocationOn-site at the Metalsa Roanoke, VA facilityJob Type: Full-time
