This hands-on role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of facility infrastructure and mechanical systems, including HVAC, lab utilities, and test equipment. The ideal candidate will have broad maintenance experience in a lab, industrial, or manufacturing setting—not limited to HVAC.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lab infrastructure, mechanical systems, and HVAC test equipmentTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical componentsSupport installation and commissioning of new lab systems, including mechanical hookups and calibrationsConduct safety inspections of lab utilities: chilled water, compressed air, refrigerant systems, and electrical interfacesMaintain service logs, PM records, and inventory of tools and partsFollow and enforce LOTO and safety protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standardsKeep maintenance areas clean, organized, and compliantRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of experience in facilities or mechanical maintenance in a lab, industrial, or manufacturing environmentAbility to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manualsSkilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instrumentsFamiliarity with basic electrical troubleshootingComfortable working in dynamic lab environments with experimental systemsPreferred Qualifications:EPA 608 Universal Certification (a plus)Experience with HVAC/R test labs or environmental chambersForklift or overhead crane certificationWork Environment:Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), ladder use, and work around mechanical equipmentExposure to refrigerants, compressed gases, and varying temperaturesOccasional after-hours or weekend work to support critical maintenanceEducation: HS Diploma/GED
