We strive to provide customer service that goes above and beyond the standard.The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and improvement of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
This role ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and responding to service requests in a timely manner.Role + Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions for cranes, press brakes, lasers, welders, and related machinery.Repair or replace faulty components such as lighting, fixtures, doors, and flooringConduct minor carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep tasksExecute scheduled preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systemsMaintain accurate maintenance logs and service recordsInspect facilities regularly to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standardsMonitor and maintain building systems to ensure efficient operationAssist with setting up and teardown of equipment or spaces for events or operational needsCoordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or servicesEnsure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policiesIdentify hazards and implement corrective or preventative measuresMaintain compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulationsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredTechnical certification or associate degree in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred2–5 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar roleKnowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to use hand and power tools safely and effectivelyBasic computer skills for work order systems and documentationStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectivelyAttention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to lift up to 50 poundsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing laddersAbility to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces)Comfortable working indoors and outdoorsPreferred Skills:Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and basic repairElectrical troubleshooting (low-to-medium voltage systems)Plumbing repair experienceLeadership Responsibilities:This position does not have leadership responsibilities.Travel Requirements:Travel as needed between Wisconsin and Iowa facilities.At Robinson, we value professionalism, expertise, and a dedication to craftsmanship.
