We have an exciting opportunity at our Mesa, AZ facility for a Facilities Engineering Manager.The Facilities Engineering Manager will provide Facilities, Capital, and Project oversite for the Mesa, AZ facility. They will manage the facilities capital program, adhering to all laws (PSM/RMP), supporting the Mesa safety, environmental, and quality systems, supporting business requests for information and new product development.This position oversees the maintenance, operation, and improvement of building systems (UPW, HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and infrastructure, ensuring safety and compliance. They lead engineering teams, manage budgets, direct maintenance staff, and coordinate vendor contracts. We are guided and united by our Group Purpose of "giving our world more smiles."Job DescriptionKey responsibilities for this role include:Operations ManagementDirecting daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of critical facility and utility systems (e.g. UPW, HVAC, electrical) to ensure safe, continuous operations.Project LeadershipPlanning and executing capital projects, facility improvements, and new equipment installations to meet budget and schedule goals.Team LeadershipHiring, training, and managing engineers, technicians and maintenance staff, including mentoring and performance management to support professional development.Give direction to third party contractors as required in support of project activities.Compliance & SafetyEnsuring all equipment and facilities meet regulatory standards, safety codes, and environmental regulations.Budgeting & StrategyManaging maintenance budgets (labor, parts, contractors) and developing long-term facility strategies. Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering departmentCoordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activitiesManage Capital Approval ProcessMonitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goalsMonthly reporting of departmental metricsFollow-up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, customers, and production controlsDrive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitivenessSubmitting and controlling the capital spending for the Formulated Products, TFS and CMP area via budgeting and current estimatingMember of the Management of Change Control Board which approves all change proposalsMember of the Material Review Board which approves all requests for material dispositionRequirementsBS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Degree10+ years Chemical Manufacturing Plant experience5+ years of leadership experience including supervising and mentoring others5+ years Project Management experienceStrong computer skills for Microsoft Office Word and Excel.Preferred experience with SAP.Strong troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate professionally with all levels in the organizationThis is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
