As a Facilities Engineer you'll contribute to JM's mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Engineer with advanced skills to coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance and troubleshoot industrial systems, equipment, and support reliability engineering.
Working under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment is required.The Role:As a Facilities Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, critical support systems to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities.Oversee and inspect the work performed by contract services. Contracted work may include any of the following, but not limited to landscaping, snow removal, site aesthetics, roof repairs, HVAC, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, emergency power generators, MEP, etc.Address issues that arise, develop a corrective action plan and coordinate with the Maintenance Scheduler.Ensure proper review and reporting of corrective/preventive maintenance via the CMMSEnsure that all maintenance records are updated and filed as appropriateCreate work scopes as needed, purchase requisitions, identify spare parts, materials and supplies to complete all tasksStandardize work to be performed via work instruction, SOP, checklist, or CMMSRespond quickly to emergency situationsOn an as-needed basis provide technical guidance and/or training to Maintenance StaffPlan and host contract service work as neededRoutinely support the reliability initiative sitewide.Support one-off projects/initiatives as directed by Maintenance Manager and/or Sr. Reliability EngineerKey Skills That Will Help You Succeed In This Role:B.S Degree in Engineering or 4 years of on-the-job experience as a Building/Facilities EngineerBAS / SCADAExperience working in a commercial or industrial manufacturing environment – DesiredBasic knowledge of financial terms and principles required with the ability to maintain detailed budget – DesiredAdaptable and can work in a dynamic fast paced environmentAble to balance risk and cost, and experience of risk managementMust have a can-do mindset and excellent troubleshooting skillsCan flex easily with workload demands and comfortable with frequent changes associated with a manufacturing facilityEven if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!What we offer:We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
