Facilities EngineerThe Facilities Engineer identifies and manages asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This is an onsite position. At this time, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role, either now or in the future.

Therefore, we cannot move forward with candidates who would require sponsorship and or are on (e.g., H-1B, F-1, STEM OPT, OPT) visas.The primary role of the Facilities Engineer is to identify and manage risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.What you will work on:Work with maintenance, engineering, and third parties to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations for facility equipment including but not limited to:Water Cooling SystemsCompressed Air SystemFacility cement workHot Bag HouseHVACFire suppression systemsEnvironmental requirementsPlant Electrical distribution and efficienciesOther Facilities or shared resource related equipmentDevelop solutions to reduce losses from repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations including capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issuesTo fulfill the responsibility listed above, this position shall apply:Root-Cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)Analyze asset system performance to include:Asset utilizationRemaining useful lifeOther parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and costs of assetsDevelop and monitor assetApply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/re-design, and make/buy decisionsTrack utility spend with CI mindset for overall plant cost reductions opportunitiesProvide documentation and on site training for maintenance and engineering personnel.RelationshipsReport to the Engineering & Maintenance ManagerMaintenance department and third party resources to be utilizedWhat you will bring to the role:A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with industrial facility systems is requiredMaster Electrician License a plusWorking PC skills including Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, MaximoAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to define, collect, and analyze dataAbout Kaiser Aluminum: Talented people join our team because we are a company passionate about environmental sustainability, employee growth, contributing back to our communities and championing a diverse and inclusive culture.
