Job Overview
GenScript seeks a detail-oriented, self-driven individual for the Engineering Equipment Department to support planning, design, construction, commissioning, validation, and process systems development at our Piscataway, NJ facilities. The position is initially for at least 2 years, with potential to transition to a facility manager post-project completion.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, manage costs, oversee procurement, and contract management.
- Project Management: Handle technical, quality, safety, and timeline aspects; coordinate with contractors.
- Commissioning and Validation: Organize factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and validation activities.
- Project Completion: Lead final inspections, documentation reviews, and project handovers.
- Reporting and Improvement: Report progress, analyze lessons learned, and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of biopharmaceutical project management and facility operations experience.
- Experience managing construction projects from requirement gathering through to validation and final settlement.
Skills
- Strong management, reporting, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
- Technical expertise in engineering principles.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Knowledge of US building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
