Our client Industries is looking for two Senior Java Developers. We need a backend and a UI developer. The candidates must complete a coding challenge and be able to come to Birmingham for a face-to-face interview. The process: Consultant completes coding challenge, does one f2f interview, then there is an offer.

Role: Senior Developer
* Degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline - preferred
* 6+ years in Java Application Development (Java/J2EE/EJB)
* Proficient in SQL Database Development (also DB2)
* Comprehensive SDLC experience (requirements, architecture, design, testing and deployment)
* Understand and be able to explain common OO Design patterns. Knowledge of front controller pattern a strong +
* Web Service Development (XML/SOAP/REST)
* Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
* Knowledge of Cobol / CICS a plus (Migrating legacy code to java and native stored procedures)
The Job Description:
* Develop applications using JAVA framework with Sencha (Ext & Sencha Touch) front end technologies.
* Experience Mobile Application Development
* Knowledge and solid experience with open source frameworks such as Jquery, requireJS, EXT.
* Contributions to Open Source Projects
* Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum
* Advanced knowledge and experience with DB2 & WebSphere application server.
