What You'll Do As a Fabrication Production Manager, you'll provide overall leadership for fabrication and welding operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time execution of production activities. You'll be responsible for workforce development, quality systems, production performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving accountability across key operational metrics.In this role, you will:Lead all fabrication production operations, including structural steel fabrication, weld assembly, fit-up, material flow, and production scheduling executionEstablish department production priorities aligned with customer delivery commitments and operational objectivesMonitor and drive KPI performance, including throughput, first-pass yield, weld repair rates, labor utilization, and schedule attainmentEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, welding safety requirements, confined space procedures, hot work standards, crane operations, and PPE requirementsDirectly manage Fabrication Production Supervisors and department support personnelMaintain compliance with AWS, ASME, customer specifications, and internal fabrication proceduresDevelop labor planning strategies, staffing models, overtime utilization plans, and production capacity forecastsLead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, standardization, waste reduction, and operational efficiencyCoordinate cross-functional support activities with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning teamsEstablish and maintain welding standards, WPS requirements, and fabrication quality systemsLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to safety incidents, weld defects, and process deviationsSupport workforce development through training, leadership development, and welder qualification progression programsDevelop and manage departmental labor plans, operational budgets, and capital improvement initiativesSupport evaluation and implementation of new fabrication equipment, tooling, automation, and welding technologiesRepresent ENTEK during customer visits, supplier meetings, audits, and operational reviewsRequirements What We're Looking For We're seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong fabrication and welding expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for operational excellence.Minimum QualificationsMinimum seven (7) years of progressive manufacturing or fabrication leadership experienceExperience with structural steel fabrication, welding codes, and industrial manufacturing environmentsExperience supervising production personnel in heavy manufacturing environmentsExperience leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesStrong understanding of fabrication processes, welding operations, and production workflow systemsKnowledge of AWS welding standards, weld procedures, and fabrication quality systemsStrong leadership, coaching, workforce development, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Welding Technology, Operations, Engineering, or a related fieldFive (5) or more years of supervisory or management experience within fabrication or welding operationsExperience implementing welding process improvements, automation projects, or operational optimization initiativesExperience with production planning systems, labor forecasting, and manufacturing reporting toolsAn equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be consideredYour Work Schedule This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday.
