Our client, a leader in Energy Technology, is seeking a Fabrication Engineer to support their team in Mt. Juliet, TN.


This role will serve as a technical and project leadership resource for the installation and setup of fabrication equipment while also driving quality, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence across production lines.


**This is a 4-month W2 contract with benefits** potential for extension and opportunity to convert to permanent


The Fabrication Engineer will act as a project manager for the installation of fabrication equipment, including punch/laser machines, press brakes, paint and epoxy lines, and related manufacturing equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead installation and setup projects for fabrication equipment, including punch/laser machines, press brakes, and paint/epoxy lines.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Maintenance, Safety & Environment, and other stakeholders to ensure timely equipment implementation.
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze production data, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, 8D, and corrective/preventive actions for product and process defects.
  • Lead PFMEA, Process Control Plans, process audits, and deviation management.
  • Drive Lean/Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Support ISO 9000 quality systems, digital quality tools, surveillance testing, and Quality Team development.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with fabrication equipment, particularly punch/laser machines, press brakes, and paint/epoxy lines.
  • Strong manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, or quality engineering experience.
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and other root-cause methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, Control Plans, 5S, Kaizen, and process mapping.
  • Experience with process auditing and ISO standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
