Join our team and work with a great talented group here at SPS! 1st & 2nd Shift opportunities available.Summary/Objective:The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting etc.
for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.Essential Functions:Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations.Select proper cutting programs.Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.Perform dimensional inspections.Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.Education and Experience:1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.1 year of fabrication and machine operation preferred.Blueprint reading.Organizational skills.Physical Demands:This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times that may be up to 50 pounds.Benefits:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).Paid Vacation.Paid employee life insurance policy.Paid Holidays.401K Match.Offered Health, Dental, & Vision.Paid short/long-term disability insurance.Part-Time positions are also available.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
