Fabric Cutter OperatorDallas, TX 75227Employment Type: PermanentJob Category: Direct HireJob Number: Pay Rate: $50,000 / yearFabric Cutting Machine Operator– Upholstery Manufacturing Schedule Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overtime as needed based on production demands Hourly: $24-$26 (plus overtime pay)About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Gerber Automated Cutting Machine Operator to support upholstery furniture production. This role is responsible for operating computerized cutting systems to ensure precise, efficient cutting of fabrics and materials in alignment with production standards. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and material optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor Gerber automated cutting machines for daily productionLoad, spread, and properly align upholstery fabrics, leather, and synthetic materialsExecute and verify Gerber markers and cutting programs for accuracyEnsure correct fabric orientation, including grain direction, nap, and pattern alignmentMonitor cutting performance to maintain high-quality output and consistencyInspect cut components for accuracy, defects, and completenessMaximize material utilization and minimize fabric wastePerform routine maintenance, including blade changes and basic troubleshootingTrack production output and report any equipment or material issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredProven experience operating Gerber automated cutting systemsStrong understanding of upholstery materials, including fabric, leather, and syntheticsAbility to read and interpret Gerber markers, layouts, and production work ordersDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precisionKnowledge of safety practices related to automated cutting equipmentExperience in upholstery or soft furniture manufacturing preferredFamiliarity with Gerber AccuMark or similar CAD/marker softwareUnderstanding of fabric properties such as grain, stretch, nap, and pattern matchingBasic mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments and troubleshootingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods during shiftsAbility to lift and handle fabric rolls up to 75 lbsComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offStable, long-standing, family-owned companyTeam-oriented and supportive work environment
