The Extrusion department is responsible for operating and monitoring aluminum extrusion presses to produce high-quality profiles according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate extrusion press equipment
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and speed during extrusion process
- Load billets and assist with die changes
- Inspect extruded material for defects and dimensional accuracy
- Prepare extruded material for aging process
- Work closely with press crew (pullers, handlers, saw operators)
- Maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime
- Follow all safety and operational procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read measurements and blueprints
- Ability to work in high-heat industrial environments
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
