Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.Job SummaryThe Extended Care Monitor supervises and cares for students participating in the school's before-school and/or after-school extended care program. The monitor helps provide a safe, structured, nurturing, and faith-centered environment that supports the mission and values of Catholic education.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise students during before-school and/or after-school care programsEnsure student safety at all times during indoor and outdoor activitiesAssist with attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and daily program routinesMonitor student behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations using positive guidanceLead or assist with games, homework time, crafts, quiet activities, and recreational activitiesHelp maintain a clean, organized, and safe extended care environmentCommunicate professionally with parents, staff, and administration as neededRespond appropriately to student needs, minor injuries, or emergencies according to school proceduresModel Christian values, kindness, respect, and professionalism in all interactionsParticipate respectfully in prayer and faith-based activities as appropriateMaintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school mattersFollow all diocesan, school, health, safety, and child protection policies and proceduresAttend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessionsJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience working with children preferredStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to supervise and engage groups of children effectivelyAbility to maintain a calm, positive, and structured environmentCommitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic educationCompletion of required background checks and safe environment trainingThe Archdiocese of St.
