Export Bids AnalystMSC USA - CharlestonJob Summary/Key Responsibilities:Job SummaryHandles customer enquiries and shipment documentation, following MSC guidelines.Key Responsibilities & DutiesEnter and monitor shipment information through use of MSC proprietary IT system.Liaise with shippers, consignees, government agencies and overseas offices as necessary.Assume documentary and customer service responsibility for all assigned shipments.Maintain efficient ocean shipments documentation and correspondence.Establish and maintain positive relationship with customers.Efficiently routing all files and shipmentsProvide timely and accurate response to customer inquiries regarding transportation milestones and shipment details.Observe corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments.Escalate unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.Generate potential solutions to customer issues.Provide feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to order to support process efficiencies.Presence required on-site 5 days per weekPerform other related duties, as assigned.QualificationsRequirementsRequired Skills, Experience, EducationBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceEnglish: advancedStrong attention to detailsOrganized, efficient, and able to manage time effectivelyStrong customer service mindset, focused, and responsiveAbility to work under tight deadlinesGreat team playerKnowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new softwarePreferred Skills, Experience, EducationPrior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, call center, administrative or clerical jobsPhysical DemandsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a timeMust be able to commute to the designated office locationPresence required on-site 5 days per weekWork AuthorizationAuthorization to work in the U.SThis role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday.
