Software Developer-SMELeidos is seeking Software Developer-SME for a 200+ FTE program. The candidate will provide development engineering and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities to include:Provide database architectural and design capabilitiesDevelop unit and functional test planProvide the operations and maintenance of operational systemsModify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performanceAnalyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost restraintsConsult with customers about software system design and maintenanceCoordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequence of designDevelop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentationConfer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesCorrect errors by making appropriate changes and then recheck the program to ensure that the desired results are producedConduct trial runs of program and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correctCompile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instruction so others can understand the programWrite, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or receiving data, or controlling other equipmentConsult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changesPerform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirementsWritten, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logicWrite or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end usersInvestigate whether networks, workstations, the central processing unit of the system, or peripheral equipment are responding to a program's instructionsPrepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operational, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer languageConsult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programsAssign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnelDesigns, develops, and maintains applications within the cloud environment. This can be for new applications development or the transition of legacy applications to the cloud environment.Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolygraphRequires BS degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience.
