Experienced Supplier Quality EngineerBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newark, NJ; Paramus, NJ; or Parsippany, NJ.Position Responsibilities:Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentationProvides Quality interpretation of requirementsDevelops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirementsConducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designsAssists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readinessRecommends corrective actions to address non-conformancesPerforms benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achievedApply advanced Supplier Quality prevention tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean and Six SigmaLead cross-functional Requirements Reviews and Capability Assessments at BDS suppliersAssist with the evaluation of new technology and manufacturing process deployment readiness at suppliers. Perform special capability approvals to ensure technical readiness, capability and supplier process controls are establishedWorks under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) and failure analysisExperience presenting technical briefings to various audiencesExperience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sourcesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standardCertified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certifications3+ years of experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance or supplier quality related rolesTravel:Position may require travel up to 50% of the time within region to support suppliers. Travel within New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
