Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Remote Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will work 25-30 hours per week and support the firm's litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution. This position is fully remote, but the candidate must be self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities independently, and capable of working collaboratively with attorneys in a fast-paced virtual environment. A reliable internet connection and dedicated working space is a must. A strong background in litigation support, document drafting, and familiarity with employment law is highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- At least 3 years of experience conducting legal research
- At least 2 years of experience using Clio
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- Proven ability to independently manage tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
- Experience drafting legal documents including complaints, interrogatories, requests for production, deficiency notices, and motions
- Proficiency with cloud-based storage platforms including Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet access and a quiet, professional remote work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on employment law matters
- Designation as a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP)
- Prior experience working in a boutique or virtual law firm setting
- Familiarity with Florida state and federal court procedures
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents including complaints, discovery requests, deficiency notices, and motions
- Organize and maintain case files in cloud-based systems
- Assist with preparing exhibits, trial notebooks, and case summaries
- Track deadlines and assist with case calendaring
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed
- Conduct basic legal and factual research
- Review and summarize discovery responses and document production
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards of conduct
- Billing requirement: 60% of hours worked
- Assist the attorneys with other matters as assigned
