Our invaluable CNC Machinists work with the most advanced technology to cut chips for some of the largest gears in the world.

As a custom job shop, every day brings a diverse set of challenges and successes.Responsibilities for our CNC Machinists include, but are not limited to:Machine setupsProgramming on machine toolsAdjusting and reprogramming controlsOperating large CNC mills and lathesMaintaining specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements when performing drilling, grooving, and cutting, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasingTroubleshooting programming and process errorsPerforming preventative maintenance for assigned machinesCalculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipersFollowing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Maintaining specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements when performing drilling, grooving, and cutting, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing, measurements, interpreting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools; sharpening tools, and adhering to quality requirements, procedures, and processesQualificationsAssociate's Degree or higher in CNC machining; orThree years of directly-related CNC machine work experiencePosition requirementsCNC machining experienceAbility to basic math functionsAbility to read, write, and comprehend G and M codeAbility to read and understand blueprintsMust be mechanically inclinedDetail-orientedThis position can be exposed to heat, cold, fumes or airborne particles, debris such as metal shavings, loud noise, vibration and moving mechanical parts. Protective gear such as earplugs, safety glasses, steel toe footwear, and gloves are required.
