Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation from case inception through resolution.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and the court.
- Negotiate settlements and provide strategic legal advice throughout the litigation process.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Nebraska and/or Iowa.
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience; Insurance defense experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong oral advocacy, legal writing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
