Experienced Litigation Attorney in General Liability Defense

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney specializing in general liability defense to join their Cincinnati, OH office. This role involves managing an active caseload and supporting ongoing client work, with opportunities for long-term growth within the firm.

Duties

• Serve as first chair counsel on general liability defense cases.


• Manage a full caseload from intake through trial.


• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.


• Develop case strategy, evaluate exposure, and provide client guidance.


• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.


• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.


• Collaborate with internal team members including attorneys, nurse consultants, and support staff.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Kentucky.


• Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience in general liability defense.


• Proven experience serving as first chair or lead attorney on cases.


• Strong deposition, motion practice, and trial skills.


• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.


• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.


• Strong client relationship and case management abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Ohio and Kentucky.
