Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.Our client is in search of a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join its Software Engineering team and report to the Director of Software Engineering.This opportunity involves working on advanced wireless communication systems, embedded platforms, networking technologies, cybersecurity, and innovative research projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to various aspects of the system, including device drivers, network management, Linux, encryption, security, and voice communications.For a seasoned embedded engineer who thrives on challenging projects and wants to make a direct impact on the advancement of communication systems, this role is perfect.ResponsibilitiesCreate embedded software to support MAC (Medium Access Control) and mobile ad-hoc networking (MANET) routing protocols.Design and execute network management software and web-based interfaces.Develop and incorporate security protocols and encryption algorithms.Construct audio streaming and Push-to-Talk (PTT) voice applications.Assess and enhance product security, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and security standards, such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria.Produce software for product performance, reliability, and validation testing.Develop and maintain device drivers and Board Support Packages (BSPs) for ARM- and RISC-V-based platforms.Customize and configure Linux systems for embedded applications.Create Linux scripts and system utilities.Troubleshoot complex embedded software, hardware, networking, and system-level problems.Collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and research engineers throughout the product development cycle.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.Over 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development.Advanced skill in C++ programming.Experience in developing Linux kernel drivers.Solid comprehension of embedded systems and software architecture.Experience in debugging and developing software for embedded Linux environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.U.S.
