Experienced Land Surveying Party Chief

Responsibilities

• Monitor technical and quality control standards.
• Establish and understand project control for a variety of projects.
• Understand construction plans with the ability to complete construction projects from start to finish under deadline constraints.
• Perform construction calculations, staking, prepare cut sheets, and staking plans.
• Collect topographic information for 3D mapping.
• Prepare comprehensible detailed notes and sketches as needed.
• Collect data for tree surveys meeting different cities requirements.
• Detail oriented and follows directions.
• Well‑rounded with GPS and Robotic Total Station instruments for data collection.
• Maintain equipment, office station and vehicles.
• Proficient with Office programs and time tracking platforms.
• Maintain good client relations and jobsite safety under OSHA standards.
• Communicate daily with other team members regarding projects and all work in progress.
• Train and help bring up chainman, rodman, and instrument operators.

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience as a survey party chief.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Good math skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outside in all elements (Texas).
• Team‑oriented professional conduct in all aspects of surveying.
• Strong communication skills.
