Responsibilities:Set up and tear down extrusion lines, including installing and changing diesStart up and operate extrusion equipmentMonitor product quality and make adjustments as neededTroubleshoot extrusion line issues and maintain efficient operationProduce quality product while minimizing downtime and scrapMaintain accurate production and downtime recordsOperate packaging equipment for finished productsAssist and lead team members assigned to the lineUse measuring instruments and hand tools including micrometers, precision rules, clamps, and fixturesPerform material handling and packaging preparation as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety procedures and standardsQualifications:5+ years of hands-on extrusion experience requiredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsGood communication and math skillsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishManufacturing experience in plastics or extrusion preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout shiftFrequently lift and move up to 100 lbsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMust wear required PPE including steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and eye protection
