With a solid reputation in the market, ever so growing Client base, cutting edge products and services, now is a great time to join our team.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED equivalent, trade school education, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.Some experience with fire alarm and/or security systems preferredMinimum 1 - year new construction electrical installation experienceEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and understand system status on Fire Alarm Control Panel (condition, address, device)Conduct diagnostic tests to determine cause of alarm and/or trouble system status, as well as ground faultsIdentify code issues and non-conformance issues, and make recommendations on alternative solutions to client/officeMeasure, cut, and bend wireThread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate and secure conduit support bracketsDrill holes and pull or push wiring through openingsDig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supportsStrip insulation from wire ends and attach wires to terminals for subsequent solderingTest completion of circuits using test equipmentPaint a variety of objects related to electrical functionsMaintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in orderEnsure job site is left in a better state than when we startedMaintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and communicate any problem encountered or identified with the alarm system on work orderGenerate system status reports upon completion of testing and inspectingMaintain positive client relations through professional interactions with clientsSkills and KnowledgeKnowledge of fire alarm systems and operation, and fire alarm terminologiesUnderstanding and application of NYC Building codes and NFPA fire alarm codesFamiliarity with all local electrical codes, i.e.
