We value our employees and offer competitive compensation, a tool assistance program, benefits, and numerous opportunities for career advancement.Position Details: Diesel Mechanic TechnicianResponsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other defects in heavy-duty semi-tractors and trailersProvide a full range of diesel repair and maintenance servicesEnsure customer needs are met in a professional, timely, and efficient mannerAdditional Job Responsibilities Include:Replace and balance tires, following established proceduresRepair or replace starters, generators, and universal jointsAdjust and/or replace brakesDiscuss service and repair problems with customers when necessaryAssist in completing work ordersPerform emergency repairs in the fieldConduct minor arc weldingAssist in training and advancing other team membersOperate service truck and provide roadside repairs, including tiresOur Safety Mission: At Sapp Bros, safety is more than a commitment it's our culture. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to assist others.Qualifications for the position include:High school graduate or GED, preferredMinimum 18 years of ageValid Driver's License with a good driving recordMinimum 1 year of previously related experience in automotive or diesel, preferredA combination of training, education, and/or experience equivalent to the standards set forth by Sapp Bros service centerAbility to diagnose mechanical and electrical problemsASE Certification, preferredAbility to provide proper documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United StatesWillingness to undergo a criminal background and employment reference checkAs a Sapp Bros. employee you will be part of an established company with a long tradition of commitment to quality, ethics, and superior customer service.
