Experienced Commercial Underwriter

To support a growing portfolio, the full-time Experienced Commercial Underwriter will select, retain, and price commercial insurance risks while providing counsel and training to agents remotely. Key responsibilities Reviews requests for quotations and new applications, making underwriting decisions based on established policies Monitors renewal business and in-force accounts, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards Maintains relationships with agents and recommends additional coverages to enhance customer satisfaction Required qualifications At least five years of experience as a commercial underwriter A college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience CPCU, CIC, or similar insurance designations preferred Ability to underwrite large, complex commercial lines accounts Strong expertise in rating programs, coverage laws, and regulations
