If you're looking for a place where your skills are valued, your ideas matter, and your coworkers feel like family, we'd love to meet you.CNC Operator ResponsibilitiesOperate several CNC machines, loading bars of material, monitoring operation & taking measurements, while making quality parts, safely as part of a team.Maintain quality assurance procedures and processes, performing quality auditsMaintain equipment and suppliesMaintain product specifications by observing machining operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn toolsMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and housekeepingMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctionsJob requirements:Minimum of five years in CNC machining, preferably swiss-style and ideally CitizenFamiliarity with blue printsBasic math skills, including decimals and ability to convert between inches and metric measurements. Algebra and geometry are a plus!Knowledge of metals and materials, including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and copper, and their machine-ability and ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, Optical comparator)Demonstrated initiative and improvement mindset a must; Familiarity with quality concepts, such as in-process auditing and lean manufacturingProven track record of reliability, dependability, maturity, attention to detail, and ability to learn is key as we will be providing comprehensive training on CNC machining.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift (typically 10 hours)Ability to lift and carry materials or parts weighing up to 50 lbsAbility to maintain a strong grip for tasks such as tightening components, using hand tools and lifting or positioning materials.Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating CNC machinery and measuring toolsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed for machine operation and setup
