J. Cotter Gallery, founded by artist Jim Cotter in Vail Village in 1970, is an internationally recognized gallery of handmade, one-of-a-kind designer jewelry.
We're hiring an experienced Bench Jeweler & Studio Manager for our Minturn studio—a hands‑on role blending benchwork with studio operations.
Includes: fabrication, repairs, sizing, stone setting, polishing, finishing, and quality control; client/gallerist communication; timelines/inventory; sourcing gemstones; pricing/appraisals; supply ordering; vendor coordination; supporting Jim with business needs.
We're looking for a skilled metalsmith who's also a natural leader—organized, proactive, comfortable owning bench work and admin duties.
Requirements: 5+ years bench experience, strong fabrication/repair skills, custom jewelry experience. Studio management or CAD experience is a plus.
Full‑time, Vail, CO. Pay based on experience. Housing stipend. Ski pass after 1 year.
