Expeditor Position at Westwood Country Club
Westwood Country Club is seeking dependable and energetic Expeditors to join our Food & Beverage team. The Expeditor plays an important role in providing excellent service to our members and guests by serving as the connection between the kitchen and dining staff. This position is responsible for ensuring food is delivered promptly and accurately, maintaining clean and organized service areas, and assisting with dining and banquet operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist servers and other Food & Beverage team members during service.
- Ensure food orders are accurate and delivered promptly to the correct tables.
- Keep kitchen service stations stocked, clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Ensure plated food is presented properly before leaving the kitchen.
- Assist with clearing tables, refilling water, and resetting dining areas as needed.
- Prepare and organize takeout orders.
- Assist with banquet and event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and other equipment.
- Maintain clean and orderly dining, banquet, kitchen, and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with opening, closing, and breakdown duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or country club experience is a plus.
- Food safety certification preferred.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent member and guest service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a busy restaurant, kitchen, and banquet environment.
