Onsite Full Time Transportation and Material Moving Occupations
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
To efffectively plan, communicate, and follow up with material delivery requirement. To ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Contact suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of the material ordered.
  • Track and record all expediting and notify buyers of scheduler slips.
  • Maintains hot list by supplier and vendor and follow through to ensure material availability.
  • Reviews procurement reports and daily material shortage reports to identify potential and actual material shortages.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve material availability issues.
  • Updates shortages reports and purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery information.
  • Works closely with purchasing, planning & scheduling, on material re-planning, including material schedule in and schedule out.
  • Works with both internal and external customers and uses reporting systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
  • Strong communication skills required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience required.
  • Associates degree/ 2-years post-secondary education in business administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
  • Office environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
