Overview

Exercise Class Instructor (Part-Time, Independent Contractor) at Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy. Lead group fitness sessions for partnered Assisted Living Facilities and outpatient clinics. Ideal for someone with a positive, energetic personality who enjoys working with seniors to promote health, wellness, and independence.

Schedule

• Glen Cove – Mondays, 9:30–10:30am


• Roslyn – Tuesdays & Fridays, 10–11am


• Jericho – Wednesdays, 10:30–11:30am


• Garden City – Thursdays, 11–11:45am

Compensation and Type

• Pay Rate: $34/hour


• Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, engaging, and educational fitness classes tailored to active older adults.


• Motivate and encourage participants while fostering a fun, supportive environment.


• Adapt exercises to accommodate varying levels of ability and mobility.


• Support facility wellness programs and participate in specialty classes as needed.


• Maintain a clean and safe workout space, following all rules and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Fitness or Personal Training Certification required.


• Current CPR, AED, and Liability Insurance.


• Valid NYS Driver’s License.


• Prior experience teaching group exercise or fitness classes.


• Strong communication and motivational skills, with a passion for working with seniors.
