Build a New Data Center Construction Business From the Ground Up

We are partnering with a rapidly growing critical infrastructure contractor that is launching a new Mission Critical Division focused on the expanding data center market.

This is a unique opportunity for a proven General Contractor executive to build and lead a business unit from day one — developing the strategy, winning projects, building the team, and creating a platform designed for long-term growth.

The successful candidate will have the autonomy, resources, and executive backing to build a mission critical business leveraging existing capabilities in high-voltage power, substations, electrical infrastructure, civil construction, and complex project delivery.

This is not a role for someone looking to simply manage an existing operation. We are looking for a GC leader, builder, entrepreneur, and player-coach who wants to create something.

About the Role

As Executive Vice President – Mission Critical Division, you will have full ownership of launching and scaling the business unit.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing the mission critical growth strategy.
• Building relationships with data center developers, owners, colocation providers, and infrastructure clients.
• Identifying and winning projects within the sub-50MW data center market.
• Building the leadership team across preconstruction, estimating, operations, project management, and business development.
• Establishing processes, systems, and operational standards.
• Leading project pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award.
• Overseeing project delivery from preconstruction through construction and commissioning.
• Leveraging the company's existing power, electrical, substation and civil capabilities.
• Owning the division's growth, pipeline, client relationships, and financial performance.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a senior construction executive with a General Contractor background, combining data center construction experience, commercial ability, client relationships, and the entrepreneurial drive to build a new business.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 15+ years of US General Contractor experience
• Current or recent experience at VP, SVP, Division President, Business Unit Leader, or equivalent level
• Proven experience winning and delivering data center / mission critical projects
• Strong relationships with data center developers, owners, colocation providers, and major clients
• A track record of building revenue, developing markets, and winning work
• Strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, contracting, scheduling, project delivery, and commissioning
• Commercial experience with responsibility for revenue, backlog, margins, and P&L
• Ideally, experience with a GC that self-performs civil, site or infrastructure work
• A strong entrepreneurial, player-coach mentality
