Also performs general functions and related work as required.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Political Director. Must be well organized and possess outstanding secretarial skills.Job Functions:Supports campaigns, mobilizations, and programs of the Political Action departmentProvides support to and clear communication with the department staffCoordinates onboarding of Member Political Organizers and other temporary employees, including safeguarding members' sensitive documentsMaintains accurate attendance recordsArranges for meetings and conferences, including booking travel and lodging as necessaryPrepares and receives information concerning matters related to the departmentSchedules appointments and maintains calendar for the department headComposes and prepares routine correspondence for signatureManages and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mailMaintains and organizes files of digital and physical recordsEnsures office supplies and resources are availableTakes and transcribes notes, prepares a draft of notes, and after editing, finalizes the sameAttends meetings and conferences, furnishes information, takes notes, and provides inputCoordinates office functions with other divisions and departmentsQualifications:High school diplomaThree years of experience in the performance of responsible secretarial and clerical workSome knowledge of modern office methods and proceduresKnowledge of office equipment and experience with Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and TeamsAbility to perform secretarial and clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervisionType at a speed of 70 words per minuteActs with integrity, discretion and confidentialityExceptional in spelling, grammar and vocabulary with good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain a good working relationship with all coworkers and general public requiring tact, judgment and poiseAbility to work well under deadlineAbility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends if requiredGeneral Information: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this title.
