The Role

As a Researcher, you'll be the engine behind our retained search assignments, partnering closely with our Partners to identify, map and engage senior talent. You'll bring a strong understanding of your market, the trends shaping it, and how they affect our clients' plans and our practice.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute tailored search strategies for each retained assignment, from target company lists through to candidate identification
• Map organizational structures in depth and build robust, well-nurtured candidate pools
• Partner with Partners to understand client briefs and deliver research aligned to the search strategy
• Produce research reports, candidate profiles and market intelligence for internal and client-facing presentations
• Provide data-driven insights on talent markets and contribute to business development activity
• Share progress and market insights in regular search and team meetings

What You'll Bring

• Experience as a Researcher or Associate within a retained executive search firm or in-house executive search function
• Exposure to at least one of our core markets: Private Equity, Technology, Strategy & Consulting, or Manufacturing & Automotive
• Strong research, mapping and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple live assignments at once
• Confidence with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, CRM/ATS platforms and other sourcing and intelligence tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn research into clear, compelling insight
• A collaborative approach; you enjoy working hand in hand with Partners and Consultants
• Resilience and patience through the longer cycles that senior-level search involves

This is the first step on our Research career path. Strong performance leads to promotion to Senior Researcher, with further progression into specialist and leadership research roles across InX.

Based in our New York office three days per week, working as part of a global team and network.
