About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Medical Director to serve as the clinical lead in the design, implementation, and scientific oversight of clinical development programs, particularly in the areas of immunology and inflammation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the critical tasks of clinical development, including the design and implementation of clinical study protocols, with a focus on early-phase, proof-of-concept studies. This role demands a combination of scientific leadership and hands-on study execution within a small, agile development team, requiring initiative, ownership, and effective communication. The Executive Medical Director will also be involved in data review, study implementation, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and external interactions such as engaging with investigators and key opinion leaders. Applicants must have an advanced degree in medicine, life sciences, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' clinical development or clinical science experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Experience in early clinical development, particularly in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, is highly desirable. The role requires the ability to lead or contribute to clinical trial design, perform review and interpretation of clinical data, and influence cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strategic thinking, and be comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving development environment. The position is primarily remote, with periodic travel, and demands a professional who can work flexible hours to support global collaborations.
