Executive General AdjusterRaphael & Associates is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Executive General Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and manage complex property and casualty claims in New York. This role is responsible for handling large-loss and high-exposure claims, providing expert analysis of coverage and liability issues, and delivering exceptional client service throughout the claims process. Join a forward-thinking organization that values your contributions and supports your professional growth in building a long-term career.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and extent of damagesReview insurance policies, claim documentation, and supporting records to assess claim validity and exposureConduct interviews with insureds, claimants, witnesses, contractors, and other involved partiesInspect damaged property and evaluate repair, replacement, and remediation costsCoordinate with engineers, consultants, attorneys, contractors, and other experts as neededPrepare detailed reports documenting findings, recommendations, and claim resolutionsNegotiate settlements within established authority and recommend further action when necessaryMaintain accurate reserves and monitor claim financials throughout the life of the fileParticipate in mediations, hearings, appraisals, and litigation support activities when applicableEnsure compliance with client guidelines, carrier requirements, and industry regulationsProvide responsive communication and superior customer service to clients, insureds, and business partnersTravel as required to inspect losses and support catastrophe response effortsSupport special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, policy forms, and claims practices.Qualifications, Skills & CompetenciesBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.Appropriate state adjusting licenses as requiredMinimum of five (5) years of property and casualty claims adjusting experience, including handling complex or large-loss claims.Experience with commercial, residential, and catastrophe claims preferred.Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyStrong customer service and relationship management skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systemsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentSound judgment and decision-making capabilitiesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and field environmentsAbility to travel to inspect properties in a variety of environmental and weather conditions.Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and lift as necessary to perform field inspections.The statements contained herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
