We are seeking a RN Executive Director Specialist – Hospice to join our leadership team. This role acts as the administrator on call and is responsible for the overall operation of assigned markets in North Carolina and South Carolina , including the employment of qualified hospice staff and the delivery of high-quality services across multiple sites. The Executive Director Specialist RN will provide leadership and stability by filling in across markets in North Carolina and South Carolina , ensuring consistent compliance, quality, and patient care standards.
What You’ll Do as Executive Director Specialist – RN:
- Serve as the Administrator on record at assigned hospice agencies in North Carolina and South Carolina
- Oversee the day-to-day operations including staffing, compliance, patient services, and performance improvement
- Drive clinical quality and ensure services meet Medicare Conditions of Participation, state hospice regulations, and Gentiva standards
- Lead, coach, and support hospice care teams to meet patient-centered goals
- Manage operational budgets with full P&L responsibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure smooth transitions and sustainable team performance
- Travel up to 100% throughout the region to provide onsite leadership
About You
Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current license in the state of residence
- 3–5 years of leadership or sales/management experience in hospice
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare regulations and reimbursement
- Strong understanding of hospice operations and regulatory compliance
- Able to work independently and travel frequently, up to 100% throughout the region to provide onsite leadership
- Effective communicator with strong decision-making and time management skills
- Highly proficient with technology and digital platforms
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality care
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
