UC Riverside's Housing Services is recruiting for the Executive Director, Housing Services position. The full salary range for the Executive Director, Housing Services is $126,700 - $248,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $190,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Overview

UCR Housing will grow by 4,000 beds by 2035, serving 14,000 students. The Executive Director-Housing Services will lead planning, occupancy and rate management, partnerships, and team leadership to successfully expand housing. Under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor-Auxiliary Services, the Executive Director is part of the Auxiliary Services Senior Leadership team and will use experienced business, operational and financial acumen that positively supports and evolves the Housing program and overall Auxiliaries organization. UCR Housing Services serves ~10,000 residents in both campus‑owned and Public‑Private Partnership housing and generates approximately $93M in revenue. The Executive Director is responsible for a high level of organizational, administrative and programmatic responsibilities to ensure successful daily management of the operations with a strong emphasis on meeting annual rate, occupancy and financial goals established in tandem with the AVC.

Responsibilities

The campus‑owned properties consist of over 3.5M square feet and provide housing for undergraduate and graduate students (including single student and students with families) in academic and year‑round contracts. Through the supervision of four direct reports and a total department size of 25 career FTE and 100 students, the Executive Director manages the housing administration and operations areas which are comprised of the assignments/contracts processes and associated financial actions as well as the year‑round, daily residential service and operational needs in the six complexes. This includes new and continuing student contracts, summer programs, accounting/billing/reconciliation, occupancy management, contract/policy enforcement, various reports, student education with community living, access management, health & safety compliance, ResTech, move‑in/move‑out and delivery of a high‑quality residential experience. The Executive Director serves as the primary contact for the P3 housing programs and helps ensure ground lease requirements regarding occupancy, space usage and formal meetings are being met. Holds a critical role with the North District‑2 intersegmental housing program; directly responsible for ensuring compliance with the state law requirements, annual reporting, rent parameters as well as demonstrated support for the success of the long‑term partnership with the Riverside Community College District (RCCD). The Executive Director collaborates frequently with Auxiliary Services staff; builds strong relationships and works closely with campus partners including Residential Education/Student Affairs, Enrollment/Admissions, UCPD, Financial Aid, Student Business Services, Health, Well‑Being & Safety as well as UCOP and colleagues across the UC system. The Executive Director also responds to low and high level emergencies including by phone, text and in person, and serves on the Auxiliary Services emergency response and recovery team, may also be part of the campus Emergency Operations Center.

Qualifications

Required: hold a valid driver’s license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
