About the Job-

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead senior living operations, team performance and community development across Florida. The role focuses on resident care, compliance, financial management, occupancy growth and team leadership, with regular travel between assigned communities.

Based remote with travel:

This is a Florida-based, remote-oriented leadership position with regular travel to senior living communities across the state. The successful candidate must be based in Florida and be able to travel regularly to communities, meetings and other locations as required.

Package

The package includes an estimated base salary of $90,000–$125,000, depending on experience, community size and location; an estimated annual performance-related bonus of 10%–20%; a company car or car allowance, depending on travel requirements; mileage reimbursement for approved business travel; and a company laptop and mobile phone. The final compensation package is subject to confirmation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the senior living community or assigned communities.
• Ensure high standards of resident care, safety, dignity and wellbeing.
• Recruit, lead, coach and retain a high-performing team.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance and employee engagement.
• Oversee budgets, occupancy, revenue and overall financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Florida regulations, federal requirements, company policies and industry standards.
• Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Respond professionally to resident, family and employee concerns.
• Work closely with regional and corporate leadership to achieve business objectives.
• Support marketing, community outreach and occupancy-growth initiatives.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe and positive community environment.
• Travel to other communities and locations throughout Florida as required.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing or a related care environment.
• Proven experience managing teams, budgets and day-to-day operations.
• Strong understanding of resident care, safety, compliance and quality standards.
• Experience recruiting, coaching and developing employees.
• Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage occupancy, financial performance and operational targets.
• Excellent organisational, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• A professional and compassionate approach when working with residents and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional and corporate leadership.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Florida as required.
• Relevant Florida licence, certification or administrator training where required for the relevant community type.
• A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
