Position: Executive Director, Clinical Development – Gene Therapy (Remote, U.S.)
Our client is a pioneering biotech company at the forefront of AAV gene therapy, seeking a visionary Executive Director of Clinical Development to lead clinical strategy and advance two first-in-class programs into the clinic in 2025. This is a high-impact, fully remote role for a physician-scientist with deep expertise in gene therapy and/or immunology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional clinical teams and shape program strategy from IND through early development.
- Design and execute Phase 1/2 trials; interact with global health authorities and KOLs.
- Drive protocol development, clinical data analysis, and scientific insight.
- Serve as a core advisor to senior leadership, ensuring scientific rigor and speed.
Qualifications:
- M.D. with board certification or eligibility in Genetics or a related field.
- 4+ years in biotech/pharma; proven success in gene therapy clinical development is essential.
- Skilled in early-phase trial execution, IND filings, and regulatory interactions.
- Experience in neurodegenerative diseases is a plus.
- Thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-paced settings.
