Southeast New Mexico Community Action Corporation (SNMCAC) is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and community impact. This is not a maintenance position. We are looking for a leader who can assess challenges, solve problems, build strong teams, strengthen community partnerships, and position the agency for long-term success.
This position may be based in either Carlsbad, New Mexico or Artesia, New Mexico, depending on the successful candidate’s location. Occasional day trips throughout SNMCAC’S service area will be required to support agency programs, staff, community, staff, community partnerships, board meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities.
The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial stewardship, and community representation for a multi-program nonprofit organization serving individuals, families, children, seniors, and vulnerable populations throughout Southeast New Mexico.

Helpful Experience (Not Required)
The following experiences are beneficial but not required for consideration:
- Experience managing budgets, personnel, and organizational operations
- Strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field
Relevant leadership, management, business, military, government, nonprofit, education, healthcare, or community service experience may be considered in lieu of any specific educational background.
