Hiring Salary Range - $115,000 - $135,000 (Annually)

The Manatee County Housing Authority (MCHA) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a results-oriented professional to lead a mission-driven organization in a highly engaged, hands on operational leadership position. The Executive Director report directly to the Board of Commissioners.

This role requires an accomplished professional with a proven background in public housing agency management and comprehensive knowledge of HUD regulations, policies, and procedures governing Low-rent Public Housing, Section Eight Housing Choice Voucher, Section Eight Project-Based Housing and Section Eight Project Based Rental Assistance Housing .

This is a highly engaged, operational leadership position —ideal for an individual who thrives in a small team environment and is prepared to oversee both strategic direction and daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements.

Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Housing Authority programs and staff.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and all applicable laws.
• Oversee financial management, budgeting and long term planning.
• Build community partnerships and represent the Authority at local, state and federal levels.
• Advance the mission of providing safe, quality, affordable housing for Manatee County.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in Public Housing, Affordable Housing or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HUD programs, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated financial and operational management skills.
• Commitment to, public service, strengthening our community and resident-focused outcomes.

Competitive Salary and Benefits $115,000-$135,000, with exceptional candidates potentially considered above this range. Relocation assistance available for qualified out-of area candidates. the position will be open until filled.
