Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Associate AttorneyLocations: New York, Pittsburgh, Boston, or Atlanta (Remote Flexibility Available)Direct Counsel is seeking an Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Associate to join a global Am Law firm with a highly regarded and collaborative benefits practice.This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate to work alongside an experienced team advising on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including in the context of sophisticated corporate transactions.Key Responsibilities:Advise on executive compensation arrangements and employee benefit plansSupport M&A transactions with benefits and compensation-related due diligence and structuringWork on qualified retirement plans and health & welfare benefit programsDraft, review, and analyze plan documents, agreements, and disclosuresCollaborate with attorneys across corporate, tax, and employment practice groupsQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school1-6 years of experience with executive compensation, employee benefits, and M&A-related benefits workFamiliarity with qualified plans and health & welfare plansStrong analytical, drafting, and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentAdmission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (or eligibility to waive in)Compensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary ranging from $225,000 to $365,000, depending on experience and locationComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, and wellness resourcesAdditional perks such as tuition assistance, backup childcare, and flexible benefits programs
