Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid | 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $35-$45/hour


Position Overview

Our nonprofit client is seeking a seasoned Executive Assistant with 10+ years of experience providing high-level support to senior executives. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to leadership, managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and travel, preparing executive communications, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, professional, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-driven organization with the potential for permanent hire.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to executive leadership.
  • Manage complex calendars, meeting scheduling, and executive priorities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including itineraries and expense reporting.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, meeting materials, and executive correspondence.
  • Serve as a liaison between executives, board members, staff, donors, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate board meetings, committee meetings, and executive-level events.
  • Take meeting notes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and documentation.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of Executive Assistant experience supporting C-level executives or senior leadership.
  • Previous experience in a nonprofit, association, foundation, or mission-driven organization preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and solve problems proactively.
  • Experience supporting board members and executive committees is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
