Excavator Operator
ABCI, a local mid-sized heavy civil construction company has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Excavator Operator. An Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy construction equipment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Heavy Equipment Operation
- Safe operation of Excavator
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
- Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor. Clean equipment on a regular basis.
- Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and requirements of the equipment (lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing).
- Effective Communication Skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
- Some OT may be required depending on weather & project status
- Perform other duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates
