Heavy Equipment Operator
Join Waste Connections as a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Landfill in Buffalo Creek, TX. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

Job Duties:
- Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
- Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
- Excavating soil using an excavator
- Maintaining haul roads using a grader
- Hauling soil
- Work in a fast paced, team environment
- Follow safe operating practices
- Operate D6T Dozer, 826K Compactor, ADT Haul Truck, Motor Grader, Excavator Sweeper, Water Truck
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
- The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
