Events & Conference Technology CoordinatorThe Events & Conference Technology Coordinator provides both hands-on technical support and supervisory oversight for events across Passaic County Community College campuses. This role manages planning, execution, and staffing events, conferences, and presentations while ensuring consistent, high-quality AV and IT service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Event Planning & CoordinationHands-On Technical Support: Set up and operate audio, video, lighting, and presentation systemsSupport hybrid and virtual events (Zoom, Teams, YouTube)Troubleshoot issues in real timeSupervisory & Staffing Oversight: Recruit, hire, and supervise event techniciansSchedule staff and assign event rolesProvide on-site leadership and quality controlEquipment & Operations: Maintain and inventory AV equipmentEnsure readiness and proper configurationSupport equipment lifecycle planningStandards & Continuous Improvement: Assist in development of standard AV configurations across campusesSupport documentation of event technical standards and proceduresContribute to continuous improvement of event servicesQualifications:Associate's degree required; bachelor's preferred3+ years AV/event production experienceExperience with supervision or coordinationStrong knowledge of AV systems and conferencing platformsAdditional Requirements:Evening/weekend availabilityMulti-campus travel (Paterson, Passaic, Haskell, Wayne, Woodland Park)Ability to lift AV equipment (~50lbs)The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The maximum hourly pay for this position is $25.Benefits:New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
