Event Planner
The Event Planner works collaboratively within the Corporate Event Management team to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of internal and external meetings, recognition programs, conferences, leadership events, and executive experiences. Partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization, this role is responsible for managing assigned events from concept through completion, ensuring seamless execution, strong attendee experiences, and alignment with business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of event planning and delivery, including venue sourcing and site selection, vendor and supplier negotiations, contract management, attendee communications, registration management, logistics planning, production coordination, onsite staffing, and post-event reporting and analysis.
The Event Planner collaborates with internal partners, procurement, and external vendors to coordinate travel, lodging, catering, and other event-related services while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
The Event Planner is also responsible for developing and coordinating event-related communications and materials across email, web, print, presentations, signage, and other attendee-facing assets, ensuring consistency with organizational brand standards and guidelines. In addition, the role manages event budgets, forecasting, expense tracking, and post-event reconciliation while monitoring overall event performance and identifying opportunities to maximize value and fiscal responsibility.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, executive presence, and the ability to effectively support and execute large-scale meetings, conferences, and recognition events, including occasional travel to regional and national event locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage event-related contracts in partnership with Procurement, Legal, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with organizational policies and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate travel, lodging, and transportation logistics for event attendees, delivering a seamless and positive guest experience.
- Plan and manage offsite venues, dining experiences, receptions, and special events, ensuring all arrangements align with event objectives and attendee expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, vendors, suppliers, and internal partners to support successful event outcomes.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to eight years of meeting and event planning experience
- Meeting planner certification (CMP)
- Ability to travel
Location Expectations
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
